Laying the Foundation: CANDO’s Inaugural Meeting

In January, the CANDO network officially transitioned from a vision to a reality. Our founding team of veterinary experts, researchers, and orthopedic specialists gathered for our first strategic meeting to build the framework that will define the future of veterinary arthritis research.

This wasn't just a meet-and-greet; it was a high-intensity "work session" where the core of CANDO was forged. During our time together, we:

  • Established Our Governance: We finalized the rigorous bylaws and ethical standards that ensure every CANDO study is backed by scientific integrity.

  • Defined Our Roadmap: We mapped out our first wave of clinical trials, focusing on high-impact treatments that can be fast-tracked through our private practice and university partnerships.

Leaving the January meeting, the energy was palpable. We have the team, we have the infrastructure, and we have the mission. CANDO is officially ready to start moving the needle for dogs and humans alike.
